Baby Trailer Campaign National Trucking Week 2001 (Aug. 26 to Sept 1/01)
J.D. Smith & Sons Ltd. was among those Ontario Trucking Association members who had trailers decorated with a special message to promote the essential nature of trucking. This trailer was portrayed on the front page of the October issue on Truck News. The graphics featured a baby with the caption, "Just about the only thing not delivered by a truck".
This promotion was part of a province-wide plan to help raise awareness of the vital nature of truck transportation. The OTA conducted various community related activities during National Trucking Week 2001 in celebration of the lifeblood industry of every community – The Trucking Industry.
