Canadian Warehouse of the Year (Second Straight Year!!) LTL & TL Carrier of the Year (Runner-Up)

In August, Several J.D. Smith personnel attended the "Colgate Canada Annual Logistics Conference". It is an opportunity for Colgate to tell their key warehouse and transportation providers across Canada where Colgate's business is heading for the coming year. But just as importantly, it allows Colgate a chance to recognize service excellence from their providers, in the form of "service excellence awards". Competition is fierce among all the providers, some 20 companies across Canada, to be recognized as "the best of the best".
This year the recognition J.D.Smith & Sons Ltd. received, both as a company, and individually, was beyond expectations!
As a company we were presented with The Canadian Warehouse of the Year award and runner up for The LTL & TL Carrier of the Year award, as well.
The individual customer service awards were also present to J.D. Smith and Sons employees.

Julia McDonogh (Headoffice) -Transportation Customer Service Person of the Year
Colgate Palmolive Canada have in excess of 20 suppliers of transportation and warehousing services across Canada, which re-enforces the fact that these awards were very difficult to achieve! It was a total J.D. Smith team effort. In a highly competitive economy and industry, it's imperative that we continue to strive for improvement, and these awards recognize these efforts.
