In 1999, J.D. Smith became one of just 16 Canadian freight, transportation and warehousing companies to have met the stringent, internationally accepted quality system standards set out by ISO. Recognized worldwide, ISO standards provide organizations with a model for quality assurance and quality management. Being a process-driven company with a commitment to key performance measurement, the ISO registration of our facilities and transportation operations didn't change a thing about J.D. Smith's business. Over the course of our 80-year history, quality has always been a hallmark of our operations: our ISO registration is simply a formal acknowledgement of this commitment to quality in everything we do.
