JD Smith “Leaders of Tomorrow” Scholarship awarded to future paramedic. The First academic scholarship established by JD Smith was awarded to Ms. Veronica Daniel, the daughter of a truck driver employed by Wasteco in Brampton, Ontario. With a degree in Kinesiology under her belt, Veronica is now embarking on a 2-year diploma program at Algonquin College to become a primary care paramedic.
